I'm a guy who knows exactly what it feels like to let himself go. I spent 30 years keeping other people alive for a living.
I knew what happened to bodies that got neglected. I had seen it up close more times than I can count.
And then I looked at a photo of myself on a family vacation and realized I had become exactly the kind of patient I used to worry about.
I was out of shape, exhausted, and feeling worse every year. I had tried to fix it the way most men do, some days ignore it and others cut back on food, tell myself I'd get serious next week.
Nothing worked. And the longer it didn't work, the easier it was to stop trying.
What finally turned it around wasn't more discipline or a harder program. It was understanding what was actually going on in my body at this stage of life, and making five shifts that worked with that instead of against it.
That's what this guide is. What I learned, what worked, and what I now use with the men I coach who are in the same place I was in that photo.
